Looking Tough
Being a California boy I wasn't ready for the cold Virginia winters. Good thing we had these niffty peacoats to keep us warm. This is a shot of me standing in front of the ship's brow on the pier in Norfolk. Navy piers are like construction zones. Giant cranes moving around, pallets and boxes piled up everywhere as things get moved on and off the ship.
