Interesting article in the NY-Times over the weekend about Iran’s nuclear program.

So, it only took us three generations to completely and utterly forget that appeasement doesn’t work. Meanwhile, we have a madman who’s publicly stated goal is the destruction of Israel and starting WW-III because he believes this is the only way to bring the “12th Mahdi” out of his slumber.

What is pathetic is Europe’s reaction.. “quick, let’s run over there and give them a bunch of stuff to get them to stop doing that…”. How’s that working at home for ya? I bet your kids are spoiled brats you moron!

Meanwhile, we’ve been totally distracted by the mess in Iraq (thanks dubbya) and we’re about to fall into total economic collapse because of a lack of accountability, honesty, and truth with our corporate overlords and our “elected” officials and us. So, the US has no moral authority to go to Iran and make them stop “or else”. The US is so far in debt that it can’t afford to open a new front on the GWOT. The people are tired of seeing their sons and daughters die for the rich. So, the real threat goes appeased (maybe?) and grows unabated.

That’s okay though, because we’ve all got our bigscreens and ipods to keep our minds off our impending troubles.
